Hello, itâs been a while since our last Blog entry. Things have been very busy but good for ACJ. We are expanding and developing many new techniques and products for the Concrete Polishing Industry. The industry is in a crucial point as there are many contractors that do subpar work and call it "Concrete Polishing." Thus a need for an independent technical institute that "IT IS THE INTENT OF THE INSTITUTE to establish standards through accreditation, and to provide quality education and support for Architects, Engineers, General Contractors, Property Owners, Interior Designers, and Concrete Processing/Polishing Contractors." Hello, this is my first blog entry. My name is Austin Willis and along with my business partner Dave Aurand, we own All Clean Janitorial (ACJ). We both started ACJ while we were attending UNR(University of Nevada Reno) as Finance Majors. As our business grew we expanded into other ventures such as ACJ STONE, a full service stone restoration division. Born out of ACJ Stone were ACJ Concrete Polishing and ACJ Tile and Grout Restoration.

While at a stone restoration training seminar in Phoenix we played around with concrete polishing.

This is what the piece of concrete looked like before we started.

Getting to the final polish

After I came back from the class I was intrigued by the process and shared my new found interest with Dave. We decided to research the process and conducted a market analysis. After much research we decided to attend training in Maryland. Since attending the class:

"ACJ Concrete Polishing has successfully completed the fundamental course requirement Concrete
Polishing 101 and has mastered the basic skills and implementation requirements.
ACJ has also successfully mastered the advanced Concrete Polishing 201 training
program, completing a minimum of five concrete surfacing, repair or renovation projects
and demonstrating the ability to produce exceptional work. (Completed project photos
and on-site inspection are required"

Here I am burnishing the concrete floor to give it the final polihsed look at the training in Maryland.
